A repair method that makes sense for you.
Some customers want to keep costs down; others want to keep a valued vehicle for several more years. We investigate the cause of the problem and the vehicle's condition, then recommend maintenance that fits your budget and future plans.
Alongside new genuine parts, we consider new aftermarket parts, rebuilt units, used components and repair of individual parts, checking safety, quality and warranty terms. If a repair is expensive, we can compare it with replacing the vehicle. We explain what is necessary now and what is recommended for the future, and obtain your agreement before starting.
Safety and quality come first.
Reducing costs does not mean sacrificing necessary safety or maintenance quality. We inspect less visible areas carefully and explain the warranty and points to consider for each component and repair method.

New replacement parts are not the only option.
The aim is to fix the problem appropriately. We consider the vehicle's condition and your plans for using it.
- New genuine parts
- For priorities such as quality, warranty and long-term use, we recommend suitable genuine parts.
- New aftermarket parts
- We check compatibility and quality and consider whether these provide a good cost/quality balance.
- Rebuilt units
- Dismantled, inspected and reconditioned components may be an option, subject to supply and warranty terms.
- Used components
- We check condition, compatibility and warranty and explain risks such as another failure.
- Partial repairs
- We check whether only the faulty portion can be repaired or replaced instead of the entire assembly.
- Maintenance in stages
- Where safety is not affected and work is not urgent, we may consider separate timings to fit your budget.
Available methods depend on the fault, safety, compatibility and parts availability. We explain cost, warranty and relevant limitations.
Repair it or replace it? Discuss both.
Because iWorks handles both sales and maintenance, we can compare the repair price with future running costs and intended use. We work with you toward a reasonable, well-understood choice.
First we ask about your repair budget, how many more years you plan to keep the vehicle, your daily use and mileage. We explain faults and worn components found during inspection, including the reason for replacement, urgency and cost, distinguishing immediate requirements from future recommendations.
- Understand the request and condition: discuss budget and future plans, then check the fault and vehicle.
- Explain methods and cost: set out repair options, warranty and points to consider.
- Work after agreement: proceed once you understand the work; discuss additions in advance.
- Explain the result: describe the work, future precautions and the next inspection or maintenance timing.
Routine parts replacement during shaken: normally no additional labor charge.
Routine brake-pad, belt and battery replacement during shaken is charged for parts only. Special work is explained in advance.

Necessary work, with understandable costs.
Replacement parts, oil and other fluids are additional. Additional labor is charged only when the amount of work increases substantially, after explaining the work and price in advance and receiving your agreement. We check the vehicle and explain the necessary work and cost.
- Even for the same model, charges vary by model year/code, vehicle weight, gross vehicle weight, registration category, eco-car eligibility and years since first registration. These examples are neither a flat rate for all vehicles nor a guaranteed minimum price.
- The Every example assumes private use. Business-use vehicles with black number plates have different weight-tax and other conditions. Probox and Hiace examples are for a one-year renewal inspection. Hiace 1-number registrations, wagons and Commuter variants require separate quotations.
- The Prius example applies where the standard statutory eco-car weight-tax rate is available. The RAV4 example is a gasoline vehicle under the conditions shown. Hybrids, plug-in hybrids, exemptions/reductions, non-eco-cars and other weight classes require calculation from the vehicle documents.
- Compulsory liability insurance examples are for mainland Aichi. The policy start date determines the premium, rather than simply the inspection or payment date. A 25-month or 13-month policy may be needed depending on remaining cover, which changes the amount. The two alternative premiums shown are not both charged.
- Inspection fees are for a vehicle presented for a renewal inspection after the April 1, 2026 fee revision. Any additional charges due to fee revisions, re-inspection or structural changes are explained in advance.
