Sources and calculation method
Source: the public “standard fuel economy” figure on each vehicle’s Minkara page. Checked November 1, 2026. These are not iWorks road-test measurements.
We checked model codes, grades and refuelling histories linked from recent fuel records and selected 2WD, naturally aspirated AT/CVT vehicles. We excluded 5AGS, manual, 4WD, turbo and vehicles whose specifications could not be identified. Each vehicle has at least 10 refuelling entries, with one vehicle per account per model. Histories containing a minimum below 1 km/L or a maximum above 100 km/L were excluded because their effect on the summary figure could not be verified. Selection bias and differing conditions remain.
The median is the middle value when the vehicle figures are ordered; the reference range is the first to third quartile. The formula used for each vehicle’s “standard fuel economy” figure has not been verified. Some vehicles without a model code were identified from their registered grade, ownership start date and specification details in the profile.
